OL-PSG (2-3): Corentin Tolisso questions the level of refereeing in Ligue 1 and proposes "a meeting with all the captains"

Corentin Tolisso is furious! Even the day after the match and the 2-3 defeat suffered in stoppage time against PSG in Ligue 1 , the anger is still palpable. He also feels frustrated and baffled by the numerous refereeing decisions that he considers, at best, questionable and which, in his opinion, influenced the result.
So the OL midfielder forced himself to speak out. With a calm, measured tone, he addressed the Ligue 1 and Ligue 1+ accounts on Monday evening in a story on his Instagram account. "I'm not used to making these kinds of videos, even less so via social media, but for me today it was important to express myself about what happened yesterday ( Sunday ) and about what has been happening more generally since the start of the season in Ligue 1," the international player began in the video.
“Yes, I’m making this video because yesterday we were the victims of an officiating error, but more generally, since the start of the season, it’s been the same thing every weekend, on every pitch in Ligue 1,” continued the Lyon captain, who had previously shared a video of a controversial incident from the match, accompanied by the comment, “actually, there was no VAR yesterday.”
"Far too many teams have been victims of refereeing errors, and that's not good. For me, things need to change," he declared. "After Paris's third goal, when I went to see Benoît Bastien ( the referee of the match ), I told him: 'I'm sorry, but in all honesty, you're not up to standard.' He replied, 'What do you propose?'"
Although he didn't find an answer at the time, the 31-year-old player hopes, after reflection, to raise awareness. A national forum for football.
"Today I want to tell him that we should get together, communicate, and hold a meeting with all the Ligue 1 captains, an executive from each club, all the Ligue 1 referees, and their superiors so that we can talk, have a dialogue, and exchange ideas, because for me, this situation is no longer acceptable."
Tolisso isn't the only one to criticize some of Benoît Bastien's decisions during Sunday's match at Groupama Stadium. Alexandre Lacazette , the former star striker for Olympique Lyonnais (2010-2017 then 2022-2025) who has been playing in the Persian Gulf, at Neom , since this summer, made his feelings clear on his X account on Sunday night: "Well done OL. Not easy with 11 against 12."
Among the most criticized was the action that led to the Parisians' second goal, where Vitinha seemed to unbalance Tanner Tessmann to take the ball before passing to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
